Roshni Nadar-Malhotra, daughter of founder Shiv Nadar, has been appointed as the chairman of HCL Technologies, one of the top five IT companies in the country. Roshni has become the first woman to lead a listed technology company in the market of 8.9 billion capital market.

HCL Technologies’ June quarter financial results were released over the weekend. It was also announced that Roshni is taking over the chairmanship of the company from his father Shiv Nadar. Shiv Nadar is stepping down from the post and Roshni will retain the post of HCL Corporation chief. The 9.9 billion HCL Corporation includes HCL Technologies, HCL Infosystems, HCL Healthcare and others.
