COVID-19 Pandemic hits tourism industry worldwide. Many countries are trying their best to get this wispy clock back on track. One of them is Uzbekistan. Coronavirus deaths have dropped in Uzbekistan since the announcement of the lockdown. Therefore, Uzbekistan has taken a step forward to strengthen the economic system damaged by the corona.

Uzbekistan has launched the ‘Safe Travel Guarantee’ campaign. Under the campaign, the Uzbek government has announced that it will provide USD 3,000 to a foreign tourist who is infected with the coronavirus in the country.

The Uzbek government has implemented new rules as a precautionary measure. In this, foreign tourists will travel with local tourist guides. It is mandatory to get certificates from the government for proper safety and hygiene in hotels, lodges, guest houses and tourist stations.

The decision was taken by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Importantly, citizens of China, Israel, Japan and South Korea will be able to visit Uzbekistan for tourism. Tourists from Europe will have to stay in quarantine for 14 days.
