Tiktok was banned in India after the Indo-China conflict. Since then, Instagram has started testing a new feature called Reels. Like TikTok, 15 seconds of video can be created on it. This feature will be available in India from today. Regarding this feature, some users in India have said that they have got this feature. This new feature comes at a time when India has banned Tiktok. The Indian government has deleted 59 apps from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Instagram started testing the reels last year in Brazil. This feature was recently launched in France and Germany. Ajit Mohan, president and managing director of Facebook India, had said that the Instagram feature was on its way.
Instagram is looking at this feature as an opportunity for creators. The way Tiktok gave users a platform. The only difference is that Instagram is already in partnership with the creators and will be seen first through the pages of influencers like Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Komal Pandey and Arjun Kanungo. Instagram hopes that India will get the next superstar through Reels.
Instagram’s Reels is similar to TikTok. The only difference is that this is not a standalone app. So there is a feature of Instagram. Reels will also appear in the Stories section of Instagram. Like TikTok, the user will be able to create a 15-second video. It can edit audio or music tracks. It can also use the AR effect. Videos created in reels can be shared directly on Instagram Story or Direct Message.
How To Create Reels On Instagram
After opening Instagram and clicking on the option to post, the camera option comes up. After selecting it, click on the audio option and select the song or music from Instagram’s music library. Alternatively you can record the audio yourself. The video is then created. This video can be shared to Insta Story and Direct Message.
